It's enclosed like the iPhone 5 leather case.

EXCEPT for the clear case. there's a cutout in the bottom. Probably to help with removing the phone. Those clear cases are TANKS. I love them

I’m looking for a third party open bottom 12 Pro Max silicone case.

I’ve been having a hard time understanding why the clear case has the open bottom. Why would it need it to help with removal but the other silicone cases do not? They are all MagSafe cases.

I ordered a Pitaka Air case. Will see how I like it. Want something with grip but also as thin and light as possible.
