I was asked to come to a school this morning to look at a mac lab which no one has been able to fix. I was able to resolve most of the problems. But on some of the user accounts, the network mount does not show up after they login. I went into the user account on the server and made sure the user account was assosicated with the correct group. Other users in the group that login have no problem with there network mount showing up. Has anyone seen this before, what was the resolution? The share is not set to hide, and if I try to automount the share manually it is grayed out like it is already mounted. It just does not show on the desktop or finder. The server os is 10.3.9, and the user account has been tryied on both 10.3.9 and 10.4.7, on both PPC and intel with the same results.

Blood hell, don't tell me it is going to be that simple. I can't check yet, but do you mean under finders preferance at the actual terminal or under the user account option under Workgroup Manager?

It might not be that simple. It's just a guess. However, I'm referring to each individual machine that isn't showing the mounted volume - they're Preferences for Finder. I'm not talking about anything server-side at this stage. :)
