Google makes that simple to do in Chrome.
Open Gmail in Chrome. Log in to your Gmail account, if you haven't done that yet.
Chrome will (or should) remember that you are logged in to your Google account.
Set up a tab, or favorite for Gmail. That's not really necessary, as Chrome, being Google, has a quick link to any part of the Google "family" by clicking on the Apps icon.

Did I miss something about your question?

A selection for Gmail should appear on your opening home screen for Chrome. Assuming you're using the latest version of Chrome. If it doesn't just select "add shortcut" and go to Gmail. (Unless I don't understand what you're trying to do.)

I could be using the wrong Gmail. I tried Mail to go and Go for Gmail. My problem is when i want to print an email and go to file Print is not an option but if i switch to [open in browser] i will get that option.

I have no issues printing emails from a GMail account when accessing them using Apple's Mail app on my Mac.

So.. you figured out how to accomplish what you want. What, exactly, is your question?
