Hello,
I have a Fuji W3 3D camera that I have enjoyed for many years and have a large collection of photos captured with it from trips and memorable moments from over the past 14 years.
The Fuji W3 captures its images in the MPO file format (Multi Picture Object) [I believe this is the same format the 3DS captured images in as well]. I am trying to figure out how to view these images on the AVP.
If I email a MPO formatted image to myself and open it on the AVP, the format is recognized and I am able to open the photo but the stereoscopic data is ignored and it opens as a 2D image. Just to test that you can email a 3D image and have AVP open it, I also emailed a stereoscopic HEIC file taken on the AVP and it opened fine from email in 3D.
I know we are still in the VERY early days but I am curious if anyone has any luck converting MPO files (or even SBS photos) to something the AVP likes. Ideally I would love to be able to convert the photos and to add them to Photos so they appear in my "Spacial" section within the app on all of my devices.
Thanks for any guidance!

I have that camera too. I was not able to see my photos in 3D either. Interestingly enough, my Mac recognizes the format and gives me the option to display either left or right image, but, of course, no 3D display. Apple is aware of the format. I hope they'll support it soon. I also suggested the Moon Spherical Player development team look into supporting the Fuji 3D.

I also have the Ricoh Theta spherical camera that needs Vision Pro support.

You can convert mpo to side-by-side jpg or png stereopairs with StereoPhoto Maker. It's freeware that has been ported to Mac. It can do batch conversions, and a staggering range of other things too. Indispensable for all stereo camera owners. If HEIC is essential, you'll have to do that with something else, e.g. Preview.
