Does Open Office for mac crash for anyone? Frequently? Mine is horrible...in fact, I might even go out and buy Microsoft Office. Open Office for the PC never had problems like this. I can't believe it...

By your signature, I take it you're using the latest PPC version? Yeah, it crashed for me a little too often in the little that I used it. Try NeoOffice which is based on OpenOffice. It's completely stable for me.

Works fine for me, but I have Intel cpus. Perhaps you could post a recent crash report for inspection:
Open the Console app in your Utility folder. In Console, go to File-->Open Quickly--> Diagnostic and Usage Information --> User Diagnostic Reports and find a recent relevant crash log. Copy and post here.
