open office install and X11

I have downloaded open office and it said it couldn't open without X11, so I downloaded that and when I went to install it I wasn't allowed as 'a more recent version is already installed'. This should be correct as my macbook pro is brand new. So what now please......
 
Try NeoOffice instead. Basically the same thing without having to deal with that x11 crap
