Simple question guys Why can I not have open spaces setup with different resolutions?

I have some older programs I use that are like 1024x768 or 800x600 Resolution and I want those desktops that size to make it look right, but I do not think they are independent even though they are different desktops!

Anyone have any clues?

I think I understand your question......

If I'm right, it's because Spaces isn't a real virtual desktop manager (like ones you'll find in Linux) that actually has independent desktops. Spaces is more like a desktop manager. It allows you to organize windows within an environment, but they are not independent virtual desktops. Spaces organizes. It doesn't split them up into new identities.
