How do you change the default programs that you open up with file types on firefox? For example, when I click on a .mp3, I get the "open with" message box. However, there are no other options in the drag down menu besides iTunes. How do I change this? (I use Songbird.)

Did you try finding an MP3 in Finder, doing get info (select it, file -> get info or Apple-I), expanding the Open With segment, choosing Songbird there, and then selecting change all? See if, after you do this, and quit/restart FF, if it follows suit?

P.S. You find Songbird stable enough to use it as your "primetime" player? I think it's a fabulous idea, but I only ever use it for its blog searching / extracting / web playlist tools.

yea, i've already tried that. i've never liked itunes that much for some reason. i haven't really encountered any problems with songbird yet, i've been pretty happy with it. any other suggestions? thanks for the help though, i appreciate it.
