OpenAI Discontinuing Sora AI Video App

Who needs Sora or Veo if there is Seedance 2.0?

There are countries which are years ahead with their models.

Btw. the new Grok Imagine 2.0 is insane.

There is no bubble, only people who don't understand basic business rules - there is no way back to manual, inefficient, legacy processes prone to errors once you've seen a delivery that is 900% faster and outcome quality that is 200% better.

OpenAI has never come up with a way to be revenue positive. Most other AI platforms - AI is a bonus to their bigger business models.

Imagine is crazy what it can do, but Elon hate keeps it suppressed in the news.
You can hardly find a discussion or review where Grok is mentioned. It isn't the best in everything but it crazy fast (not crawling along like Claude) and THE best for current events and Grok Imagine is best in class.

Not as useful as an AI as Claude and Gemini but amazing nonetheless

This, as well as Seedance 2.5 and Nano Banana Pro 2. Finally, people will no longer be able to distinguish between real and AI content and will focus on the purpose instead of crying about how it was done. Simply enjoying things without questioning them. "It matters not how we complete our task, only that it is done." (c) is the only way forward to singularity 🙏

For the sake of the arts and humanities, STOP using AI to make art so abundant that it is no longer personal or unique. AI rips off every creator on earth, pays no royalties or credit, and churns out slop faster than humans can consume it. It does this on the electric grid, burning precious power and water...

Creating things is an outlet for so many people to share stories and feelings - and a way to escape - and a way of life. Likewise, others build empathy with these stories and connection to it... all of this is at risk when a prompt makes 'everyone an artist'. It's like a global participation award.

And how is this any different new medium all artists are inspired by and use techniques and in some case out right copy the look, style, feel, and coloring of past artists this is just a new horizon. Remember when photography was not considered art?

There is a world of difference between learning and copying techniques from those that have gone before, and typing in a few words in a prompt to ‘create’ something from stolen data that involves no talent, knowledge or understanding.

Same here. and yes. It does need to SLOP....I mean stop. This is just another sign that OpenAi is on it's death bed, thankfully. Guess they never got their govt funding, and poor ole Johnny can't build an Al-u-minium Ai device now that's thinnest and lightest Ai device eva.

Companies are making more money than ever at the expense of customers employees, and taxpayers. Only people that win are the massive shareholders and executives. All the rest get the shaft.

Vera Rubin, etc.. tokens per W is going way up with generational improvements in data center infrastructure.
