Phill Schiller and Eddy Cue are on there. I mean, it's not the Tevanian / Rubenstein podcast we all want, but it's something.

OpenAI's hands were forced with this - open models are getting super performant and society needs to be exposed to the SOTA so the conversation can be had.

If Phil opened his cameo so that people can create infinite random versions of him saying “Can’t [insert thing] anymore my ass!” That might actually borderline on amusing.

Here’s the problem about this “conversation”, everyone is desperately trying to make AI happen for ordinary consumers and no one is really listening to ordinary consumers if this is something they want… it’s just like crypto. Silence on failure to reach the masses is not open willingness to keep having crap slung into the pool to see if anyone will play with it.

The truth is, generative AI is something that is going to be useful to 20% of people 80% of the time and 80% of people 20% of the time for the foreseeable future now that the novelty has worn off and the fatigue of the constant hype cycle is kicking in.

Disgusting company with zero moral or ethical standards.

I hope they collapse.
… and collapse before Sam and Jony can release the “revolutionary” palm-sized ChatGPT-powered device. Apparently, development of the latter has encountered significant hurdles:

Just remember that if someone criticizes you for eating meat, driving an inefficient car, and running your air conditioner when it isn’t extremely hot due to the impacts for climate change, you can respond that their AI slop videos might be as bad or worse. Between AI and crypto I honestly don’t want to hear about it. And frankly, eating, transportation, and interior climate control are all higher priorities than this AI garbage.

This shows a clear demand for products like this.
Sure there is a clear demand. Most people love stuff when it’s free… just watch China Uncensored for what happens when free stuff is on offer.

But who’s gonna pay for it?

When the debts come in… and AI bills are HUGE… people are going to be casting the blame at each other.

AI only works because it has been trained on stolen content that has cost humans countless millions of hours of effort to create. And a few companies are benefiting obscenely from those millions of hours at the expense of all future generations.

We still don’t know how true future cost of AI and likely won’t until it’s too late.

I get in just by creating an account with the old 1.0. A couple days later I noticed I could log into the new Sora app and it asked me to create an account again and Bob's Your Uncle.

Don't forget it's only available in Canada and USA for iOS only... Actually I'm kinda mad that limits are worse than before... Like you could :

- make 100 vids per day
- make 5 vids at once
- make vids about pikachu, Mario bros and other comics that you know

----

Now you can :

- make 30 vids per day
- make 2 vids at once
- no more pikachu

UNLESS YOU PAY 200$ PER MONTH

When something is not available in the EU with its strict(er) privacy laws, it's the perfect red flag
Member when people uploaded everything but jizz samples to Facebook? What privacy? Imagine what they are telling ChatGPT.

And there is 23andme for the jizz sample part LOL

If you browse the media created on sora, it’s like 98% spank bank material.

Want to try it out. Waiting for it to be available in my country. Don't know when the invite only access will come to an end.
