By my understanding, the current Macbook Air does not support OpenCl (although that is apparently coming in May with Ivy Bridge). I have a very limited understanding of what OpenCL actually is...analogous to OpenGL/DirectX? Either way, apparently Lion uses it and by default so will future iterations of OSX.
My question is, will an air that is not OpenCL compatible be a liability for future OS upgrades down the line, assuming it's used for average computing tasks? Browsing, word processing, email, occasional iPhoto, etc?
