I have a 2009 Mac Pro flashed up to 5,1. It's running Catalina 10.15.7 with dual CPUs 3.33ghz, 24gb of ram, a flashed boot screen capable Sapphire Pulse Radeon RX 580, a Samsung 840 Evo 500GB SSD on a PCIe SATA adapter, upgraded 802.11ac WiFi and bluetooth for Continuity and Handoff. Bootrom is 144.0.0.0.0 and it's reported as a 5,1 in System Profiler.

Following this post, I have a 2010 Mac Pro single CPU running Big Sur no problem. When I follow the same instructions on this 2009 Mac Pro, I get stuck at a black screen and white Apple logo during boot up. I can't get it to boot into Catalina using OpenCore 0.6.3 following these instructions. I see the fancy icons for boot selection, but going past that it just sits at a white Apple logo with no progress bar or anything.

I've tried wiping out NVRAM because I use -no_compat_check to boot Catalina currently but that does not seem to solve anything other than making it a pain to get back into Catalina without OpenCore.

I guess I'm just at a bit of a loss on where to go from here for troubleshooting.

My goal is to use OpenCore to install Big Sur and run it, but I can't even get it booted into Catalina currently.
