Hello John

Thank you !!!! works iMac 27 Mid 2017 macOS beta 2 !!!! wifi ok !!!! Thanks Thanks Thanks 👍👍👍

May I ask, thanks.
Running Monterey with OCLP 1.4.2.
Is it possible to leave the NVME drive alone which I'm on Monterey, and keep Monterey as a back up and put in another clean drive and upgrade to Sonoma, then update the new OCLP 1.5.0 package >?
Thank you.

Yes, you can, before you do the installation, please remove all HDDs, only leave the one that you want to install, after you finish, put all HDDs back, and then you will see the boot pick option!

Thanks so much. Now what about the NVMe that has the OCLP script with Monterey on it, do I leave that in so it can use the boot off of it?

Or do I just use the USb builder again?

Is there a readme on what’s new in this version?

Also why start Apple TV app hangs the machine?
is there still support for hd4000, ivy via the cryptexfixup

Thx

I don't think they want you to share nightlies. This is unfinished patching software for a unfinished operating system. The avarage Joe shouldn't use this at all!

What’s the password to install the zip file

I'll give it a try tomorrow on my Macbook Air.

Thank you very much for all your efforts!

You should only need a password (your admin password, the one that you know and use) to use the correct installer.
If you get a .dmg file, then you likely downloaded the wrong file.

Find the information listed here

Scroll down, and click on SOURCE.md, then click GUI (Graphical Based App)
THAT's the file you want.
After downloading, it will be named "OpenCore-Patcher.pkg.zip" (.zip NOT .dmg )
Double-click that file to make the installer, OpenCore-Patcher.pkg
(your downloaded file might aready be a .pkg, depending on the configuration of your system, and the settings that you use in Safari.
If you double-click THAT file, you will be asked for your admin password (your own user admin password)
And, the OCLP (current OpenCore-Patcher.app, version 1.6) file will be installed on your Mac.

I got it but when im trying to patch i have a error that said the host os not found. I have an old macbook air with sequoia

I have not had any luck yet with Sequoia. So far, no Mac that I have allows me to even try installing Sequoia, maybe I just don't have any Mac new enough, or just chose to have the wrong Macs to play around.
I think you will have to wait until the OpenCore site makes an actual announcement about support for Sequoia.
Unless you have actually seen anything that states OCLP can do anything with Sequoia? I have not... I'm expecting something after final release of Sequoia, not before. Maybe I will be surprised...
How old is your "old macbook air"? I have a 2017 MBAir, with Sonoma 4.6 (Not tried Seq on that one yet, it works too good with Sonoma  )

Hi, that's great. Unfortunately no luck with Beta 5 Sequoia on my iMac 27 2017 18.3. Running with OCLP 1.6 no wifi working.

I put it on an old 1st gen 2017 MBAir and most everything works but the wifi. Battery life is better than Sonoma. Chrome runs up to about 400 open tabs then it freezes up. iPhone screen sharing is spotty but does work when it wants to with 15Pro Max and 14, the 13 refuses to connect. Other than that its pretty good so far.

Thanks, I tried again, but got failure when installing the root patch: 'Unsupported Host OS'. Start Root Patching is greyed out......

Btw, I installed Sequoia on the same external SSD as Sonoma, created an extra partition. Could that be the issue?

"An internal error occurred while running the Root Patcher:"
I have 5 Macs, running various macOS versions, and using both OCLP 1.5 and 1.6
All, in my experience, will occasionally fail with that error. I simply quit OCLP, restart that Mac, and try the patching again. Usually works the second time, after that restart. If it fails a third time, I will usually grab the relevant bootable system installer, boot from that, and give that Mac another opportunity by reinstalling macOS, then give the OCLP another try. Usually is successful a second time.
My point is this: OCLP is not a perfect patching system. Sometimes glitches are part of the "fun", in my experience.
