Suddenly today, when I do a search from the FireFox address bar, the results are now from OpenDNS instead of Google. This is pissing me off.

I did not set my computer or my router to use these DNS settings. I have verified that neither are set to OpenDNS. Why would this suddenly be happening? Is it possible that my ISP is hijacking our options and making us use OpenDNS for this?

I did a traceroute and I didn't see the OpenDNS IP's in it, but still it's there. What is up with this? I had thought I had spyware or something on my Macbook...

I don't have any toolbars or Firefox extensions installed that would do this either. Driving me crazy. What can I do?

if a new profile for firefox has no effect, then its not a firefox's problem, vice versa.

    OpenDNS is a choice

OpenDNS is available to anyone, from individuals on up to network providers like ISPs. You and I have traded emails now, so I think we understand each other.
