i have a blue and white g3 with os x 10.4.7 installed. i have a ps/2 keyboard with a ps/2-to-usb connector. i can't enter openfirmware by pressing command-option-o-f. so my question is whether or not my keyboard will be usable under openfirmware if i set the nvram manually under os x to boot to openfirmware first? since i don't have an apple keyboard, i'm afraid that i won't be able to boot the operating system if openfirmware doesn't recognize my keyboard.

so the gist of this post, will my ps/2 keyboard be usable at the openfirmware console?

there isn't a standard to ps2 to usb conversion on the market place, so you are basically flying blind.
