Opening a forwarded message in Apple Mail

Hi All, I have found apple mail to be great however when I go to open a forwarded email ".msg" I need to go back to my original email provider to open it. In apple mail it asks me to choose the appropriate application however I have had no luck

Does anyone have any ideas?

I have never heard of this problem
Maybe I am not understanding it properly

Sounds like the forwarded email is being sent as an attachment instead of an inline message. Check the settings of the email client that the forwarded message is coming from to see if there is a setting to adjust for forwarded messages.
