How can i set it to have a folder always open in a new window. Now i use the command + double click. Is there a way to make it always do this? Not like i care about holding down the command key.. i'd just like things to work my own custom way.

Right in front of you? Well, like a literal desktop using the "piling system". . . ya gotta pick stuff up to find what's buried! It's there, it just ain't visible.
