Simple Comic will open them (which is a nice little app for the purpose), but you can also decompress them with anything that handles zip files (I suspect cbz to be zip and cbr to be rar), try The Unarchiver or simply rename the files to *.zip or *.rar and open.

I used Jomic in the past for those files. Like the above poster stated, cbz is comic book zip file, and cbr is a comic book rar file. So, if need be, you can rename the extension and use an app that can handle those file types to extract the individual image files inside.
