Okay, so I'm still a bit new to macs.

I have a file that is in the toast format. I then realized there is a program called Toast.

So I got it and now am wanting to open the toast file.

Is there a way I can run the toast file directly? or does it need to be burned to a cd and then run?

    Thanks,

    Harry.

Not too sure what 'toast format' is, but the way to open any file on a Mac is to right click it (or Ctrl+click) then take Open With> and select the application that you want to open it with.

Have you actually installed Toast or did you just download it and did nothing besides that.

I've downloaded it and installed it now.

    So it's a running application.

The Question is can I run the toast file to install another application or do i need to burn it to a cd via toast program and then install the software through cd.

you can mount the .toast image and run whatever installer is on it.

iirc you should be able to just double click it in the finder to mount it otherwise use the mount option in the toast application
