i have numerous status bar tweaks which rely on his dependency tweak.
Most everyone is in the same boat. I wish he did not intentionally limit it by iOS version number. I think he prefers to play it safe and disable it on unknown iOS versions to keep it from potentially crashing. If he were more active in the JB scene, I might agree with that but, in this case, updating the iOS version number is the only thing it needs to make it work on iOS 8.1.1.

And now, people might have to wait potentially weeks...months even, for him to show up again and update it.

Can't someone else do it or something similar to it? I don't know, which is why I ask.

No, Tweaks such as OpenNotifier, Protean, etc. are hard coded to use libstatusbar. If someone released a libstatusbar replacement library, every tweak would have to be updated to use the new library. Not to mention, no one else has written a replacement library. I'm certainly not going to waste time looking into it.

What's the problem for it? OpenNotifier beta is working fine for me on my 6+ 8.1. Does 8.1.1 break it again?

Yes. It's not OpenNotifier, but the Libstatusbar dependency which does not work with 8.1.1

With 8.1.2 released and can be jailbroken, is libstatusbar broken again?

Just updated to 8.1.2 and rejailbroken. Works fine on 8.1.2!

I guess if libstatusbar works on iOS 8.1.2, that's great, but it shouldn't. According to the latest source code on GitHub, for v0.9.8.1.1, it is still limited by iOS CoreFoundation number and won't work on anything higher than 1141.16, which is the number for iOS 8.1.1.

i was also hopeless but just tried and it works fine! Maybe because iOS 8.1.1 and 8.1.2 are similar...

OpenNotifier 8.1.1 + Libstatusbar 0.9.8.1.1

How do you keep the OpenNotifier Color icon Pack in color on the Statusbar and Lockscreen Statusbar?
