Following an upgrade to 10.6.7 (tested on two computers)

PDFs created using various OpenType fonts in 10.6.7 using the Apple PDF engine fail to render fonts correctly. They appear normal in Preview, but are unusable in Adobe Acrobat or Reader.

I would strongly advise against upgrading if this is an important part of your work-flow.

Others are reporting problems on the Adobe and Apple Support forums.

Even PDF/X? Surprising.

Would never create a PDF with Apple's Quartz engine, even Preview sucks when dealing with PDFs with transparency, a PDF protocol that's been out for almost eight years.

Thanks for the warning but never upgrade a production machine without some research or unless it needs it, in most cases.

As well as PDF creation, some fonts appear wrong in some apps such as Sibelius (music notation software); various elements such as slurs and braces are displayed incorrectly. I downgraded back to 10.6.6 and everything was fine again.
