    Hello,

my imac is reading -6 C and my wife's is at -9 C.

Is this too cold ? Any danger here or should I keep some applications running
    to 'warm them up. ?

    (temperatures after waking from sleep)...

    Where are you located?

-6°C and -9°C are quite cold, not to cold maybe, but it could lead to condensing water on the logic board which in itself could harm the computers.

Minus Celsius temperatures are below zero, the point where water solidifies into ice, so I think maybe the sensors are a little bit off.
What are using to monitor temperatures?

My iMac once or twice had temperatures of around 30°C, it was -12°C outside, the window was open and the heater was off. So for your Macs to be that cold it must be really cold inside your flat/house.

    Yes.
You should come inside for the winter.

But seriously, these numbers cannot be correct unless the air temperature in the room is -15 or so.

You are both right, I forgot that my istat was already in degree C.
So when I took the temperature from istat and then converted that as if it were degrees F of course I got a crazy reading.
CPU A in each case is now between 32-35 C.

So sorry for my own confusion...
