it's me again lol
does anyone knows if oppenofice runs fine under rosetta ?
OpenOffice runs through X11, so I don't know if that will even work on an Intel mac.
NeoOffice (a small step behind) works natively in OS X, so that should work fine. It's not as good as OpenOffice, but I had fierce trouble with fonts and printing in OpenOffice, so I abandoned it for the moment and went back to NeoOffice.
I gather OpenOffice are working on a Univeral Binary, so it shouldn't be too long before it is up and running (very nicely) on the Intels.
Neo office does not run on Intels. I have a MBP and it won't even work on that because it isnt' PPC.
It run's (see http://porting.openoffice.org/mac/ooo-osx_downloads.html) it says it supports Intel and PPC, though you need to get your Mac's font's across to UNIX which isn't fun too. You also must install X11.
