Oprah's many strengths include, among many others, that she's wicked smart, a great communicator, is success-driven, empathic, and connects well with people. A shame that angers so many people

Are you positively sure that those are her strengths and that people get angered ONLY because of such amazing traits? out of what, jealousy? She absolutely does nothing to anger people at all? As in, she is perfect?

Last time I checked people DO appreciate successful, empathic, charismatic, sharing knowledge people... even with only a handful of those. Have you seen interviews with Elon Musk? That’s wicked smart, charismatic but lacks in all other things and I have yet to see 0.001% of the trigger Oprah gets against him.

So, in your statement: if she is so wicked smart great empathic communicator, she wouldn’t anger so many people. That doesn’t make it anymore “a shame” since she seems to not have the skills for that, but instead she has the skills to stir the boiling pots and drive views in both senses.

Not all news is about politics. Stories can be curated.

I wasn't inferring that all news is about politics, so I could've been clearer on that. What I meant that news shouldn't have bias, which is especially evident in the commercial networks (in OZ at least) you often see product endorsement in what some networks deem as news.

Elon Musk doesn't suffer from that for obvious reasons.

I don’t think Tyra Banks, Halle Berry or Michelle Obama “too successful, powerful and rich black women” attract remotely the same amount of controversy.

Since there is the insinuation that the seemingly frictionless success of Elon Musk is because he is a white man (and not because he puts freaking reusable rockets/satellites in space, gives us electric cars and PayPal that society depends on at large nowadays), pick any of the previous three comparable women then.
