Did you possibly consider that the burner could just be faulty? Funny how you talk about suing the company before you've even talked to them about the problem :rolleyes:

PS. My 24" iMac has an Optiarc drive and burns every single disc i've put into it.

As your Mac mini is still under warranty, why not take it in to Apple, and see if it's not just a faulty drive you are dealing with, before tying to go out and sue Apple.

Nothing wrong with this here iMac which also has an OptiArc drive.

Yours is likely faulty, get it repaired under warranty.
