Hey all,
I have recently installed an optibay to have a 120GB SSD in my main drive bay and a Samsung 1TB in the optical bay. Both drives were functioning perfectly in the beginning however I've been running into some issues lately.

On the second day, the drive self-ejected itself while I was working on my mac. I attempted to reboot, but ended up having to take my mac apart again just to reconnect the SATA connection. It worked again, but this time I thought I'd keep my drive busy by disabling drive spin-down, and also putting my desktop background images on there and setting it to cycle occasionally. I also have my iTunes library on there which plays unless I am working on other audio-utilising projects.

It was fine for at least a week, but it's just done it again. Whenever it self-ejects, I get the clicking sound (sudden motion sensor from my knowledge). I have checked the screws and connection, all seems fine and when the drive works, it performs beyond my expectations.

Any suggestions will be most appreciated 🙂

Have you tried swapping the drives? Put the one that is in the optibay into the main drive bay and vice versa.
