So I just realized this; since the optical drive on the iMac is slot load, how do you manually eject a CD when it's either not working or turned off? I know that with a tray-loading CD drive, there's usually a little button you can push to make it eject without any power or if it's just not responding. But how does one go about doing that when there's no button next to the little slot on an iMac?

It's not easy, that's for sure. I think a paperclip might be involved.

I had a DVD the refused to exit a couple of days ago, held down the mouse button upon restarting and it came out.

If that doesn't work, then I think it will require physical intervention, or maybe a trip to the apple store.

Thanks for the mouse button tip. One question though; were you using a MM or some third-party mouse? I know there probably isn't a difference, considering it's just a mouse click, I'm just curious.
