Optimized battery charging

I have this feature 'on' for my Pros and have been noticing that only one pod is keeping its charge at 80% while the other is at 100%. Does anyone know what's up with that?

I know on my Mac that facility stops working if there's an update waiting....maybe same with the pods? (don't have any so don't know!)

Could be....the battery readings have been screwy with these things since Day 1.

I had the same inconsistent reading but in my case, the, well, case had died shortly after I used my Pros for a 4 hour hike. It showed a red light when I got home and opened it and of course, showed 2% on the case, 100% on right AirPod, 81% (not charging) on the left.
