On my mac I have a few user accounts. Two of them are basically new and they log in completely within the time you just read this sentence. My account i've been using since panther and have passed on through the years ... takes a lot longer.

The thing is, I don't quite have any applications that launch upon login, just Quicksilver. My dock is somewhat modified. That's about it... what is it that I can clear/cleanup in my User account to ... speed things up a bit :)
 
you could try using Onyx's Automation feature to clean up your main user account as shown below. make sure you get the right version of Oynx for your OS.

also make sure you select "Current Account" in the preferences as shown below.

this should speed things up a bit after youve rebooted a few times ro re write and optimise the caches.
