I have tried calibrating the LCD screen on my macbook and after calibration the screen looks much better than it has before. The whites "pop" out more than they used to. The one thing I am noticing though is that some black text that I am seeing is looking to have more of a brown tint to it. Is there an optimum setting for calibration on a uMB so the colors look the best possible? If anyone could offer tips on calibrating a uMB that would be great.

    Thanks in advance

Do a quick search. There's a thread in this section that has pages and pages of discussion with multiple calibrations/profiles for your screen. Good luck.

Thanks, guess I should have done that first. I found some calibration profiles from other people that work quite well. Makes the colors look much better and the blacks are actually black now

For me, the easiest way to calibrate without wasting too much time was just to spend ~$50 for a Pantone Huey. You might be able to find a good deal on ebay.
