Optimum online email help

    I can't connect the email on the mail application. I cannt even go on the System preferences. Is there a way to fix this?

    You would need to get the correct incoming and outgoing mail servers. I don't know if that will help you, if you can, provide more information on what your problem is - error messages? How you setup your account and what you've done so far?

    Manually set up the incoming and outgoing mail servers. For some reason, the automated mail widget dies when it tries to test the connect.

    Delete all the previous stuff the automated widget did, create a new account and cancel the automated setup. Then go in and enter the appropriate fields. It works just fine.
