optimum ssd settings?

hello,
im just about to fit my new ssd in my jan 10 macbook pro and move the original into an optibay.
is there any tweaks or settings you guys can recommend?
i have heard to turn sms off as it will be no use on a ssd drive?

I would do this: put the SSD in the optibay and leave the HDD in the regular bay. This way, you keep SMS (apparently lengthens HDD life, and the SSD will fare just fine in the optibay. (this is my current setup for 4 months, no problems).
