    Hi,

I'm in the UK, and have a last gen G5 powermac, with pci-e. We all know apple screwed us with regards to gfx upgrades (if you opted for the 6600), and i know there's now a 256mb (blah!) x1900 pci-e for G5.

But over here, it's simply too expensive for me @ $400/£200.

Is there an option to get a flashed from pc 7800GT from anywhere? I thought they used to be for sale on ebay? I can't find anything on there, on ebay usa or uk.

Anyone running a flashed card in their pci-e G5? Or if i want to do it myself with a PC or something, where do you get the roms from? I assume it's quite difficult/involved, though?

    Cheers

A good place to check is the strange dogs forums:

They have a lot of good info on flashing cards. I haven't been on in a while to see how active they are, but if they have the old posts, you should be set!

They also flash the card for you when you buy one your self or you can buy a flashed card from them.
