Yes, i'm not super happy about the paltry 700MB. At least round it up to a gig!

What colour are you getting? I want 16GB black, but I may settle for white if that's all they have.

I'm been with Optus since my first phone, never would consider Telstra but I'm a little disappointed in the Optus iPhone plans.

This is what I want. $80 = $500 calls, unlimited text, 2GB (minimum) data, and the iPhone for free on a 12 month contract.

I'm still going to get a 16GB black iPhone 3G with Optus on a 12 month for $79 per month.

    I'm disappointed :(

    its either pre-paid...
or the $59 cap for me...
does anyone know whether we can just pay off the iPhone upfront?

You probably can pay off the phone straight away.

yeah i REALLY don't wanna be paying $45 for a $19 cap for the 16gb iphone.
Hopefully we can pay $330 or $220 for our phone, and walk out of the store aswell as our contracts.
Is this possible, or will it happen?

To be honest, I doubt you'll see a plan like that in Australia at all.

Happy to be proven wrong of course.

And that is why I'm no religious. God, Jesus and everything holy is nothing against a faceless monster like Telstra.

Hummm free iphone in most places other than the us, but no unlimited internet. And in the us we don't get a free phone but unlimited internet. Some shape or form i feel like we are all getting robbed.

yes most other countries hav unlimited internet.

its just our telco landscape here in aust we get neither :(

not a chance here 4 unlimited net on anything 3g/3.5g [ 4 a few years anyway...]

its all about the revenue share w the telcos round the world... hence the apple centres in aust not even getting to sell em at all...

but yes if u get given with one hand... it gets seems 2 taken away with the other...

    omm :apple:
