China is a serious threat whether you accept it or not according to CBS News.

View attachment 945193

There's a difference between China being a threat and viewing an app used mainly by teens to post videos of themselves dancing, lipsynching, and doing silly and stupid things as a threat.

Were these CIA officers using TikTok to communicate classified info to China?

Wait. I know. The videos contain secret code. Each dance move/routine has a secret meaning. It's like the scene right out of Get Smart where a CONTROL agent used castanets as a telegraph.

I wonder which TikTok video reveals the secret location of the pizza parlor Democrats are using for their child sex trafficking ring.

I wonder why they weren’t a threat until a bunch of users used it to make him look bad at an event? I’m sure he would never use the powers of the office to retaliate.
That’s why the President banned CNN, NBC, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, youtube, Twitter, Facebook, google, etc. oh wait - that’s ridiculous.

IMO, ALL Chinese companies who do business here in the States should be required to have a 51% majority U.S. partner !

Just the threat of that would make the Chinese Gov't ease up abit !

Amazon's stock would take the biggest short term hit, just on the rumor !

I didn't know Amazon was a Chinese company.

Whether Microsoft or Oracle acquire it, it’s surely the death knell for TikTok. You don’t want to see your dad wearing skinny jeans.

Both know exactly how to make bad decisions and take a winner and make it an unequivocal loser.
They both know how to make massive failures out of winners.

As a 38 year old Dad, with a 1 year old daughter, I'm amazed any male over the age of 19 can get into these jeans. About 10 years ago my ex tried to get me to try a pair on, they wouldn't go over my knees. I'm hardly built but I think you'd need to be famished / super skinny to fit in such things. Oldies, leave these to the kids!

For a few months in the 1990’s I worked at Sun Microelectronics, which was the Sun division that did the processor designs. On my first day, I was asked to meet with the guy in charge of “ultrajava,” a CPU design just for “Java stations.”

He tried to convince me to work on his team, and I politely declined. That cycle repeated for awhile, and eventually he flat out asked why I didn’t want to work on what was clearly the future of computing technology. I told him (using technical terms) that java was stupid, it would be relegated to niche applications, and I preferred to work on SPARC.

A month later, while working on SPARC, they installed Javastations in our offices, which we all refused to use for anything other than email. I remember Scott mcnealy sending out an email to the company explaining how great the javastations are, and how rapidly the software was evolving - his example was that the email app now put a message number in front of each email in the list.

I also remember the internal EDA team trying to port internal cad tools to java, and that nobody would use them.

And then I left.
Today people thinks JS is the future, go figure...
