    roughly translated by Google:

According to sources close to the dossier "Apple" iPhone 3G is currently on the premises of Orange. The 3G version of the iPhone, which is expected by many geeks, is being optimized, because the product (yet) consumes too much battery and autonomy is therefore very low.

The output of the 3G iPhone is planned for the month of June, most likely at the same price as the current version. Apple wants to impose itself! Wait and see my friends geeks

UPDATE: I received an email from someone well placed (ie saying, I can not check) in SFR to tell me that the 3G iPhone is also being tested. Apple it would change its tactics in order to provide wider distribution?

    At the iPhone hacks section.
They're not testing it in the US but they are in France?
And would that require FCC Approval?

FCC is a US requirement. CE is the requirement for Europe. I don't think it is required for testing, only for selling a completed product.
