Orange UK bought iphones from apple...

    sorry to ask a dumb q - this doesnt seem to make sense but im going to ask to clarify if such a scenario may have been possible

    when iphone was first released, Orange UK bought several iphones from Apple and were giving them to large corporate customers with orange sim cards in them... not for sale but just for marketing purposes. a friend was offered an iphone from orange uk with an orange uk sim .. apparently they bought iphones from apple just to purposely annoy o2...

    i doubt this is possible but just very curious

    They probably bought them from Orange France ;).

    Are you sure you not maybe confusing this with Orange uk's iphone touch (or ipod) giveaway to corporate customers - i think thats what i read somewhere a while back?
