Order changed from 'Preparing for Shipment' back to 'Processing Items' wtf

I ordered from Apple.. It was 'processing items' initially, then changed to 'preparing for shipment' yesterday, and now it's changed back to 'processing items'. The deliver date is still 09/19 though..

Anybody experience this or know what's going on?
 
Maybe it reverted to actually withdraw funds from your account and is going through an actual payment "process" since it is actually shipping now?
 
Apple knows that people who have a shipment date of 9/19th want their phone on launch day. Normally the first batch is delivered exactly on that date, but held back at the shipment location.

If your order shows 19th, you'll get it.
Unless the delivery car has an accident.
(That happens, too. Believe me.)
 
Ugh this has me feeling uneasy. Surely there's a reason it was reverted from 'preparing for shipping'.
 
Also happened to me... Just called my CC support and the card was already charged this saturday, and payment was approved... even got the "authorization code" of the transaction as proof... hope everything is right, let's wait...

Yeah same here, the transaction went through fine, I even verified and took precautions before ordering. I just confirmed again that there was no issue with my creditor. I'm on hold with Apple now, this is unnerving to say the least considering everyone is seemingly able to find their device in their support profile and tracking number on UPS, while I have nada.
 
It's happening to me tooo :-(

Just called u bank they said there is a hold for iphone amount by apple store and that everything looks ok from their end. No fraudulent transaction or whatsoever. I'm oversees and will only be back on Thursday to NYC.

Could someone speak to apple and lets us know what's their status.

Comoooon people are moving forward and we are going backwards.

can you keep me informed? I'm not able to call them from where I am now 🙁

We are in the same boat. Our only hope is our friend who is on hold with apple
