MP 7,1 Order Date vs Ship Date

I ordered my 7,1 late last night (December 18th), and it has an estimated arrival date of December 30th - Jan 7th.

Im curious, what was your Order Date vs actual Ship Date, and where are you located (I'm in the US). How many days did Apple end up shaving off your estimated arrival?

in Aus, mine ordered on 13th, then shipped yesterday, tracking shows 24th.
the day from apple shows dec24-Jan6
you should be able to get it on about 30th

Back then in 2013 we had an AMAZING Google sheet where everyone could track all orders... that was simply amazing, but maybe not as needed today as orders seem to ship a lot faster. Mine was ordered at lunchtime on the 11 and is due the 2nd of January in Germany.

Thanks for the reply. This is the first Apple product that I’ve ordered (everything in the past had been a “stock” spec that I’ve just picked up at the Apple store), so this is a first for me. It also happens to be the most anxious I’ve ever been to receive a computer purchase (and most expensive), lol.

I feel you haha. It‘s super nerve wrecking. I just wish I could work all the next two weeks so I could afford the XDR Display IMMEDIATELY haha.

i ordered mine the night of release, and was quoted december 27th. I got this past tuesday.
in the US.

Ordered Sunday Dec. 15th, shipped yesterday, arriving Monday the 23rd. Quoted delivery window was Dec. 26-Jan. 2.

Now I‘m worried it‘s gonna arrive prematurely when I will be home for the holidays... :/ That would SUCK as our delivery guys here are an absoltue disaster and tend to leave packages at random shops etc..

Apple ran my credit card this morning (charge shows as pending). Is that a sign that it’s almost ready to ship?

It was ordered 3 days ago, so I’ll be very impressed if that’s the case.

Ordered mine Dec 12th and estimated delivery was Jan 30 - Feb 5.
On Dec 19th I call Apple to change my order and now estimated delivery is Feb 7 - Feb 13.

Mine moved to “Preparing to ship” today. Sounds like it may stay that way for a few days, especially with the holidays hitting.

Overall timeline update of mine:

12/18: Ordered (just looked, and it was after midnight, so technically 12/19)
12/21: Credit Card charged
12/22: Status Changed to "Preparing to ship", late that night changed to "Shipped"
12/23: Tracking info updated with December 26th estimated arrival date.

I'm pretty impressed. 1 week from time of order to time of delivery, only a week after product orders went live.

12/13 - order placed through business store, but looks like they got it in 12/16 officially.
12/20 - ship and Apple Card charged so that's nice get that 6% back pre 12/31
12/24 - arriving tomorrow.

I actually have the same shipment timeline and estimated delivery date as you. Apple says it was shipped on Saturday and that I will get it by the 26th. However, the UPS tracking number still indicates its just ready for UPS with no other movement. Does your UPS tracking number indicate that it is in transit?

I just checked, and on the UPS tracking website it says “Ready for UPS”.

I’ve ran into this with non-Apple UPS shipments before. I’m guessing (hoping) that UPS is just slammed at the moment and behind on scanning/updating things.

Did they send yours via 2nd Day Air? I was a little surprised to see what... has to be pretty pricey for an 80+ lb box.

Yup, was surprised to see 2nd day air as well. I am hoping it’s a UPS issue since both our tracking has the same info.

It was a nice Christmas present from them but ahhhhhh
