Carrier Order Delays

I ordered a 7 Plus Silver through AT&T on Oct 5. A week later, my co-worker ordered a black 7+

He's received his phone. Mine is scheduled to ship between November 9 and 15. Why is that? I deliberately picked a color that wouldn't be delayed. Any advice?

Did he order through Apple or AT&T? The carriers seem to be slower when it comes to fulfilling orders.

I ordered a black 128GB 7+ and a rose gold 128GB 7+ from Verizon 9/23. My estimated ship date is 11/23.

I ordered 3 7+ 128GB (2RG, 1 MB) and a 7 128GB RG on 9/28 from t-mobile with ship dates of 11/15-12/15, received on 15 Oct

Chances are you'll be able to pick a silver up from the apple store since silver isn't a popular color. Try this if you're in the states.

Update: Although AT&T said they'd ship the phone between Nov 9 and 15, it shipped last Thursday, Oct 27, and it will show up on Monday the 1st, about 2+ weeks early. I'm a little excited.
