I think you're worrying about nothing. I'm sure it'll be up again soon and our orders will still not have shipped. 🙄
The reserve to collect is also not working it the UK, and the support forum pages are also down. Probably just maintenance.

Yeah, but that does not take effect till next year. I have an order I hope arrives in 8 days. What if they had to revamp EVERYONE's orders due to screen/supply issues? 😱

Then they revamp everyone's order. Its not like you can do anything about it. You're looking at a status page. I'd not really jump to conclusions. Developer.apple.com is offline as well. Just relax and you can check on your order later today or tomorrow.
