    Hello.

I've got a mac pro (B.T.O.) ordered, along with some other bits and pieces. I put the order in yesterday afternoon (2nd June). Everything was a 24 hour dispatch item apart from the computer, which was "ready to dispatch within 3 days".

The bloke who took the order was a bit dopey, to be blunt, but he did eventually manage to get all the details right. I checked my order status a couple of hours after ordering and everything was on the list alright and the status just said "Not yet shipped, expected to be dispatched by 5th June" or something very similar. Fair enough.

Checked again this evening, about 28 hours after ordering, and the status is still exactly the same. Obviously I wouldn't expect it to have shipped yet but, if my memory is serving me well, the last, and only, time I bought a mac - about three years ago - I got different messages in the time between me placing the order and it being sent out. For example "Being assembled", "Undergoing final checks" or something along those lines. The main point being that there was a change every so often.

So - should I expect to see any change yet? If it's still the same tomorrow I'm tempted to ring up again and pester a bit. But if what I'm getting at the moment is all I can reasonably expect then I'll hold my fire until later in the week.

Many thanks for any opinions / experiences.

    'bye

i'm sure we've all done the same thing were you constantly track your order - i checked my couriers website every 30mins for updates on delivery day of my MBP :D I think there's a bit of a period of inactivity after they've built it but before they ship it. Mine got stuck on 'dispatching to courier' or something for a few days, even though it didn't state which courier was being used.

I think apple only dispatches after all items are ready, even if some are ready after 24h

Apple sucks when it comes to BTO shipments..

My mate ordered a MBP 17" HR for me in Canada.. I live in Holland myself.. It was only High Resolution.. Changed nothing else.. It said that i would be ready to ship in 3-5 (Business?) Days.. **** that.. I took them 3 weeks to ship.. By that time he already left to Germany where i was, so he cancelled the order..

After months of prevaricating I ordered a macbook yesterday (I really wanted a new mac mini but the specs are just too poor still). So I'm now wondering how this progresses too. Silly really given how long I've waited but I'm desperate for it to arrive! Three days build first though.
