I'm in same boat, but i just fear the Apple advisor is saying any old thing.. I mean do they really have more info on an order status? Is it not all one backend system that we can both see?

I'm pretty sure they have no other info that we have. That's why we have so many contradictory answers.

It seems that something is moving in France too, eventually.
At this time I saw only charges but no status changes.
No charges for me atm though.

Quand ma carte bancaire sera-t-elle débitée?
Lorsque vous passez votre commande, Apple demande l'autorisation de débiter le montant de la commande auprès de l'établissement émetteur de la carte. Une fois l'accord reçu, Apple réserve le montant sur votre carte jusqu'à ce que tous les articles soient disponibles et que votre commande ait été expédiée. Votre carte sera débitée lors de l'expédition de votre commande.

And I really hope that was the case (because of my limit of debit on my CB for the last 30 days).
Really don't want to be refused by the bank (especially because I have the money on my account…).
