If you placed your order with amazon payments after 30 days if there was no charge they automatically cancel your order. Same thing happened to me I called Mac mall and they were very helpful to make sure my new order was prioritized as if I placed it on nov 30. My original purchase date

Apple would not replace it. They would just fix it because when u exchange its basically returning it and getting a new one. If u wanted an exchange you would have to back through mac mall. I have gone through this with them where they will only fix it with apple care when after just buying the computer like a week before.

Just to clarify, if you buy from an Apple partner like MacMall or B&H, will you get different service options compared to buying directly from Apple? I currently have an order placed through B&H that was placed about 2 weeks ago, but its my first time buying from a third party and wanted to make sure there wasn't something I was missing.

Apple would fix it just not replace it with a brand new machine most people say they got a new one returned their machine to apple so who they bought it from... Basically apple care will only fix any problems so just replace screen or switch out hardrives if there was a problem.

Has anyone at all who purchased their late-2012 27" from MacMall seen any movement on their order...? Really considering cancelling at this point if they haven't even made first deliveries yet.

I haven't canceled yet nor have I seen any movement (ordered Nov 28th), but I did order one from Apple too on Christmas day. First one with a tracking number wins!

Still waiting. Now when I check my order, the individual option prices are listed as "NA". Not feeling too positive at this point...

WooHoo....Just received tracking on my 27 iMac from MacMall, ordered Nov 28th, will be here tomorrow!

Hey, congrats. Just called them again and heard "no shipments until Jan 29th" all over, which is clearly bunk if you just got yours. Hopefully things pick up over the next week or two.

It's my understanding that MacMall received a shipment of base iMac units on or around 1/8. No word if that shipment included built-to-order iMacs.

I got my tracking number last might on my shipment hopefully ill have this iMac by Thursday!!

I ordered my top of the line 21.5 iMac on 1/1 from MacMall. Estimated 7-10 days to ship. on the 10th day, I chatted with one of their customer service folks who said it wouldn't ship until the 20th. 2 days later, I pinged them again, and they said it was showing an estimated 1/25 ship date. I'm shocked how they can keep quoting 7-10 day estimates when it sounds like none of them are actually shipping in that time frame.

I ordered a 27" iMac (3.4GHz, 8GB RAM, 1TB Fusion Drive, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX) from macmall over the phone on January 8th and was given a range of January 14-25 as possible dates it would arrive at macmall's warehouse in Memphis, TN. I was told it would then be another 3 to 5 days after that before I'd receive it. Though I'm nowhere near the the range where I can complain, seeing what you guys are posting about ordering in November does have me a bit worried. It seems that third party retailers are having a hard time getting stock across the board. I do know that my local Apple store has my exact configuration in stock right now. I just don't know if I could justify paying the initial sales tax that I was trying to avoid by going and picking it up right now.

My top line 27inch bto with 680mx just shipped on the 14th however the tracking number does not work I will give it until this afternoon before I call and see what's up.

That's pretty rough. I hope now they are starting to see iMacs come their way and received enough to be able to fulfill most outstanding orders. I wonder how many people bought theirs from macmall? It certainly can't be enough that they couldn't easily go through their queue quickly. Alas, only time will tell.

I ordered on the 29th from macMall and mine was shipped out yesterday as well. Back in December when I called for an update they said they expected inventory from Apple on the 15th. Sad that it won't come in until Monday, unless UPS surprises me with an early delivery.

27" i5 3.2GHz with the 680MX and 1TB Fusion.

Mine is now in process. MacMall got an order of 300+ iMacs last week according to my sales rep.

27" MacMall Shipment

My BTO 27" ordered 12/18 Shipped Fedex from Memphis today, scheduled delivery Thursday 1/17, only one day later than originally estimated upon order 12/18, confirming my over ten year experience with MacMall excellent service.
Configuration: Apple 27" iMac Quad-Core Intel Core i5 3.2GHz, 8GB RAM, 3TB Fusion Drive, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 680MX graphics processor with 2GB of GDDR5 memory:D

Placing order for 16GB Crucial Ram this PM.

Bye bye PPC G5 faithful servant.

Finally got my email my iMac is arriving in jersey before the end of the 17 witch is this Thursday. One more question when did you credit card get charged?

Hi all - thought I would chime in just for reference. I ordered the following on 1/3/13:

27" iMac Quad-Core Intel Core i5 2.9GHz,
8GB RAM,
1TB Hard Drive,
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M graphics processor with 512MB of GDDR5 memory, Two Thunderbolt ports,
Apple Numeric Keyboard and Magic Trackpad,
OS X Mountain Lion

Macmall originally estimated a ship date in the 2nd or 3rd week of the this month. I sent a follow-up email just to see where things were, and received the following today:

"We are now expecting arrival of the item you ordered by February 14, 2013. However, please be advise that this date provided to us by the manufacturer may still subject to change. We suggest a follow up a day after the aforementioned date as it takes a day for our warehouse to update inventory. We do hope by then your order has already shipped and we have fulfilled already our commitment to you our valued customer."

I'm hoping that's a "safe" date and I see it sooner... but who knows
