I was enduring the time like you guys who is waiting for a watch.
I originally preordered 38 SS model with modern dark blue buckle at 12:13 in April 10 and it would be delivered after 4 ~ 6 weeks, within May 13 ~ 27.
After the lauch day, April 27, as I read posts In this forum, I realized that I couldn't get my watch earier than expected though Apple said we may get watches sooner than expected in public.
It seems that there is no body who received it with modern buckle according to this forum.
I thought the problem is band and I could make a kind of tictak to get a watch earier.
So last night, I ordered two more watches with same model and same size but different bands. One was a sport band, the other was a classic band.
I wondered which one would be in my hand first, and I could take that one as mine and cancel the other orders, and I could buy a modern bend that I really want someday, separately.
This morning, Apple took money, and they have shipped a watch with classic band this afternoon, and the shipment notification said I could receive it tomorrow. LoL

As you know, we can cancel our order even after they have shipped it and even after delivery as returning it.
Of course, I've canceled my other two orders.

Rather than just enduring this hard time, let's do anything we can.

Good luck, guys,

Darn. I just want an SS. I don't even care which band I get as I can buy other bands later. I ordered black sport band thinking it was most basic and would figure out band later. I'm still scheduled for June.

Great move! Thanks for sharing for the benefit of others. I recall Tim had made a statement we did not know the customer preferences, now we know and will catch up soon. I guess they made lots of modern buckle but not enough sports or Milanese loop. I have ordered 2 SS watches with white and black sports bands. I plan to order 2 Milanese loops for both watches. If one gets a sport band with watch, one gets 2 bands. If you order I presume you get just one band. So we ordered with sports bands. Me and my wife plan to exchange each one's non compatible size bands so each end up with one white and one black band.
