I was hoping it would take longer since I'll be trying on watches today and might want to switch to 42.

The 38mm's always seem to dispatch fast. I don't think any 38mm is in short supply.

Ordered mine 11pm on a Wednesday night, received it by Friday. Less than 48 hours later.

I'd expect it tomorrow.

I went to Selfridges in London on Tuesday. The SS 38mm SB was the only model they had in stock. Anyone could walk in and out with one of them.

Quite possibly a stockpile from the initial production. I'd assume a lot of the lines are also tuned and cased for 38mm production, it can take awhile to convert lines to make larger watches. I'm not really sure why Apple might have put as much emphasis on 38 as they did, the fashion trends over the last 15 years has been larger watches. Quite frankly I'm surprised they didn't do 40/44mm as the split.

I ordered a 42mm sport blue band on May 26th and it just changed to shipped and arriving the tomorrow the 29th. I never expected it that fast.

That's why I ordered it. I think the black sports band looks really nice on the aluminum sport models. I'm going to buy a BSB to on it.

All the 42s except for the Space Black Link are 2-3 weeks now, the SBLB is 5-6 weeks. Times are improving weekly. I imagine ordering a 42 with a 2-3 week might ship in a week to 10 days if not less.

I ordere a 38 sport for my wife on May 9th and it just shipped last night. So it seems they just did catch up from initial demand.
