Hi,

I've just ordered a new Mbp 16. 8 core with 32gb of ram and 8gb 5500m. Is it going to run hotter and noiser since i bumped the rams? Does rams produce heat? :) I usually use Adobe Premiere and After Effects and on my 13' old mbp, fans usually start to run only when i'm rendering something.

Also have a Dell U2715H display that i want to use with it. It has a mini dp, dp and hdmi ports.
Which port should i use for the best screen quality? I'm also going to need some usb ports so can you kindly recommend me a nice adaptor(brand wise) which i can connect them all? I've found some 7+1 Hubs on amazon but i don't know if they are durable or not.

Don’t worry about the heat ram generates. It won’t be different than 16G

i want to know the answer to your second question. I have the same display and I don’t have the proper cable yet.

It won't run hotter or noisier than a 16GB model. Not measurably so, at least.

As for the display, go with a USB-C to DisplayPort cable. Displayport is natively contained within the USB-C protocol, HDMI is a bit more finicky and can often result in a 4k30hz image. I forget the exact brand I have, but this should work fine: https://www.amazon.com/Cable-Matter...words=usb+c+displayport&qid=1575744407&sr=8-4

As for USB-A adapters, what do you need to connect and do you need them all connected at the same time? The best luck is had with individual adapters in my opinion. I just have a handful of USB C to A adapters I keep with me. I like the simple Apple USB-C to USB-A adapters the best (they fit the best and stay snug, aren't too wide that they interfere with the other port) but any old cheap one should do the trick like this one: https://www.amazon.com/AmazonBasics...5WGG82RE3D1&qid=1575744525&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER

I would avoid the Hyperdrive and other Hyperdrive-like devices that are aluminum and plug directly into two ports at a time. The fitment is weird, the connection isn't very reliable, the Hyperdrive in particular has bad performance if you use it heavily (big file transfers, etc cause it to randomly eject), and it's not the best idea to have such a large object hard-plugged into the USB-C ports. One small bend and it's either breaking the male part off in the port, or bending your chassis. There are good multiport adapters out there, but I don't use them after spending $70 on the hyperdrive so I'll defer to someone else who may have more experience here. At the least though I would avoid the massive USB adapters that provide like 7 ports out of one USB-C. Quality over quantity.
