You know what im going to ask, it has been beaten to death with a stick. Its about the display.

I have saved up for nearly 1 year to get this... MBP 15'' 2.4GHz / 7200 RPM HDD / 4GB Ram Via Crucial / Airport Extreme Basestation

This is to replace my iBook G4 1.33GHz... should be a good upgrade.

My Concern is of course about the yellow on the screen, or getting one of these "grainy" screens. What is the first thing I check for when it arrives? and how would I go about getting this corrected if I do have an issue. I have waited all this time, I do not want to wait longer.

How do I check what screen I have? What version is the bad screen? what is the good screen? If I have a bad one, can I specifically requrest a certain sceen to get it replaced with?

Sorry about the questions and paranoia. 3000$ is alot for me... alot alot. I cant afford to this to be anything less than perfect. literly perfect.
