Ordered through AT&T website....still no status change??

    ANy one having this problem?....First of all i have yet to get any email from them and my order status hasn't changed...I see anyone who went on apple.com and ordered, they can check via ups.com or fedex.com....anyone who ordered from att can check the status by putting in your phone number as a reference number?...

    What I've heard is that the carriers usually ship the phones out later than Apple themselves does. Possibly Tuesday or Wednesday. They will still arrive on time.

    Ok because i was just wondering why haven't my status changed and everyone can check online....Im also a first time customer...I havent gotten an email from them either

    AT&T will ship them from the US, so they will ship out on Wed or Thurs. Apple shipped out sooner because they are shipping them directly from China

    I preordered my iPhone 4 from AT&T Premiere (business site) and I remember that it took FOREVER for my shipping status to change, and for me it was showing "backordered" for the longest time. It drove me crazy as I read posts here from all the people ordering from Apple getting shipping status updates, etc. I ended up getting my phone the same day as everyone else did that ordered from Apple, though, so I wouldn't worry about it! I'm sure yours will arrive as expected!

    I decided in a 5am blur to just order my iPhone 5 through Apple after my preorder experience with AT&T...and now I won't get the phone till 10/5...so I'm kicking myself and wishing I had read the MacRumors post saying AT&T and VZW were still offering 9/21 shipping where Apple had pushed theirs out 2 weeks (before ordering) or had just preordered through AT&T again! Granted, now I'm considering jumping ship to Verizon...but that's another story! :)

    thanks i also had the same problem with apple.com me and my fiancee' were arguing over how to change the shipping address then when we finally decided we saw that in our cart it said 2-3 weeks so we quickly went to at&t and got through within a few minutes with it still saying ships 9/21....kinda got lucky if you ask me.....


    I also keep hearing that the status will change later this week...so im hoping its true....

    I did speak with a representative on friday morning and she said if you ordered before 11am then u should still receive it by the 21st. :) hope she was correct

    janee24 ... i don't want to get you paranoid, but here is my story. you may want to call customer service.

    I ordered within an hour of launch, but never received a confirmation email (though I could check order status online, and it said "Processing"). I called today, and was told my order was held up pending their credit verification process. They asked me 4 questions (mortgage amt, lender, car loan amt, lender). After this, they said my order was approved and the order would now go to automated processing. The CSR told me this likely meant I would not have mine shipped in the first batch. Why didn't they tell me more information was needed?? Why didn't the order status say anything about me needing to call?? Ugh.

    It really looks like the ball was dropped on my order, and now I'll be at the back of the line, despite me ordering correctly as soon as it launched.

    Very disappointed.

    WOW...when i called friday morning the rep told me there was nothing else that i needed...the only problem was porting my number over and i fixed that and she told me that she does see my order at the time i purchased it which was 4:16 am ET....the amount is still pending on my card. im hoping nothing is wrong....I will be giving them a call in a few to confirm that nothing else will be needed...

    i called and spoke to a rep today... order is still showing as processing on one order status page and pending shipment on the other site... also backordered 1.. but from what i remember last time it was the same thing and I still got my iphone on launch day... but i asked and rep was showing 10/5-10/16 or whatever it was.....


    anyway.. my wifes iphone which was on upgrade was placed with apple at 3:07am est and i have already located the tracking number. I ordered mine through ATT at 11AM after not being able to access premier website or add a line through ATT or Apple... ordered it as if I was a new customer on regular att site.. still read 9/21 as date.. so i'm crossing my fingers that this is gonna go through normally.

    otherwise if I don't get a shipping notification by thursday, I am going to go try to grab one at store.

    oh ok. i ordered from att website...thats why we haven't been able to track it yet/...
