I'm just curious if anyone has ordered any pre-flashed cards on eBay before. I've been trying to find compatible cards to flash myself but it's hard to locate one suitable and the savings is not all that much.

In any event, I'm leaning heavily towards this card:

http://cgi.ebay.com/New-nVidia-GTX-260-896MB-OC-Video-Card-Mac-Pro-GTX285-/130426896463?_trksid=p5197.m7&_trkparms=algo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D3%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D514329080647449133#ht_3236wt_1117

Has anyone ordered this same card or from this person? I'm not all that concerned about the seller as much as I am with the card vs value since this is an old(er) card.

Would like to get some thoughts on this plan.

Thanks

Try looking into a 4870, as they offer great performance and also since Apple is veering away from Nvidia, AMD should provide better graphics drivers in the long run.

That is good advice. The only reason I said I was leaning towards the nVidia was for the CUDA support since I'd like to get into modelling.

Welp, I bought the GTX260. In the end, I couldn't justify paying close to $500 for a card in the 5870; I may regret it when Battlefield 3 comes out later this year but I'm mainly interested in running FCP and other editing software more efficiently which I can't on this pathetic 2600XT.
